What began with exceptional childcare has grown into a broader household staffing practice serving families with increasingly complex needs. Today, we place experienced nannies, newborn care specialists, family assistants, private chefs, housekeepers, household managers, estate managers, and other private service professionals.

We do not believe in sending résumés simply to fill a role. We look beyond experience on paper to evaluate professionalism, judgment, temperament, communication style, and the ability to work within the unique culture of a home. Our screening process is intentionally thorough so that the candidates we present are not only qualified, but genuinely worth meeting.
Our Vision
Mindful Nannies is a family-run agency founded by brother and sister duo Mimi and Jay, whose backgrounds bring two distinct perspectives to the work.
Mimi spent years in the private childcare industry as a career nanny then to governess, giving her firsthand insight into the realities of working inside a family’s home, the importance of compatibility, and the qualities that separate a capable caregiver from an exceptional one.
Jay brings a background in high level project management and operations, with an emphasis on clear communication, organization, and maintaining momentum throughout the search and placement process. Together, they have built an approach that combines an intimate understanding of private household care with the structure and responsiveness families expect from a professional staffing partner. As well as licensed and trained staff that assist along the way.
We understand that inviting someone into your home requires trust. From a single household hire to more involved private staffing needs, our focus remains the same: understand the home, understand the role, and find the person who belongs there.
